About the Exhibit

“The Wonder of Wandering" by Jacob Evan Smith, aka MazySuzan, invites viewers into a world where play and introspection intersect through 11 intricate wooden maze sculptures. This solo exhibition explores the transformative power of play through flowing, amorphous mazes that evoke youthful wonder. With winding paths and undefined beginnings or ends, each design encourages viewers to refocus attention on the present moment and savor the meandering journey we call life.

This exhibit was part of Disco Walls’ “Non-Toxic Masculinity Series,” highlighting male-identifying artists who positively impact the community through art. Huge thank you’s to: Julie Sailus (Disco Walls) for coordinating the show and assembling a beautiful panel discussion; Amanda Nouhan (Arba Digital) for going above and beyond with strategy, painting, logistics, emotional support, and everything in between; and Lindsay Kyle & Lonny Marino for their essential assistance planning, cutting, & prepping the artwork for this show.
